Go to FCC Registration Login (CORES), click on REGISTER, and follow the prompts.

Please bring your FRN with you to the exam session.

 3.  You must have a valid Email Address and Phone Number. This is an FCC REQUIREMENT! Email addresses on all official forms must be the same email address you used to acquire your FRN number.

 4.  If you have a Felony Conviction, please take the time to review the qualification question on the ARRL website or the FCC website regarding getting licensed. Your application could be denied and/or delayed by the FCC.

 5.  Bring some form of Photo ID: Driver’s License, Military ID, Passport, School ID, etc. Minors will require a parent to be present.

Upon completion of a passing exam, and having your paperwork accepted, the FCC will email you with instructions to pay their $35 licensing fee. You have 10 days to pay the fee after you receive the email. Once the fee is paid you will receive another email with a link to your official license (in PDF format.) It is important to save and store the official PDF version of your license for future use. Also, print and sign your license and post it at your station. The FCC no longer mails licenses.
