Many of you have the Yaesu FT 60 and have had a problem with the beep when you try to transmit. This is in association with the "wires" internet connectivity. When it is active you will see a symbol in the upper right hand corner of the display. When in this mode the radio sends a beep at the beginning of all transmissions. To disable the beep press and hold the (0, SET) key (second from the left on the bottom) for 2 seconds you will see the display change to ICOD #. Press and quickly release the (0, SET) key again and this removes the astrik in the upper right hand corner of the display which takes the radio out of the internet mode. You can now transmit without the annoying beep. Good Luck! Jerry Loden KE5AXA
